If your brakes sound or feel different, get them checked. JTK offers brake inspections, repairs and replacement of worn components.
Request an appointmentA brake inspection considers the pads and discs along with calipers, fluid and brake lines. The work needed depends on the condition of the components and the symptoms you are experiencing.
Squealing, grinding, vibration or a change in pedal feel can each point to different issues. Tell the workshop whether the symptom happens every time, only when cold, or after a longer journey. Include any dashboard message or recent work on the brakes.
An inspection can consider the condition of the friction components and the operation of the braking system. Replacing pads alone may not address a problem involving discs, calipers, fluid or other components, so the work needs to follow the findings.
Your registration helps identify the braking system fitted to the vehicle, but the workshop may still need to inspect it to confirm the parts and work required. Ask about the proposed repair and the complete fitted price once the scope is known.
If braking performance has changed or you are concerned about driving, call the workshop before travelling. An online appointment request is not an assessment that the vehicle is safe to drive.
A squeak, grinding noise, vibration or warning message can point to different issues. Tell the workshop whether it happens during light braking, after the car has been parked or on every journey. Also mention if the car pulls to one side, the pedal feels different or stopping performance has changed.
If braking performance is reduced, stop using the vehicle where it is safe to do so and arrange advice or assistance. Do not treat an online explanation as confirmation that the car is safe to drive to a workshop.
Check which axle and components the quote covers. Pads, discs, calipers, fluid and lines are separate items, and the condition of one can affect the proposed work on another. Ask the team to explain the inspection findings and the scope before authorising the repair.
Mention any recent brake work and bring the invoice if available. This can help distinguish a new issue from something related to an earlier repair. After the work, ask for any relevant running-in or follow-up advice rather than assuming every replacement component needs the same treatment.
Describe any noise, warning light or change in pedal feel, and when it happens. If braking performance has changed, call the workshop before arranging to drive the vehicle in.
The branch will confirm the work and a suitable time with you. Sending a request does not book a workshop slot.
No. Noise can have more than one cause, and the condition of the pads, discs and related components needs to be checked. Describe the noise and when it happens rather than ordering parts based on the sound alone.
Mention the brake concern when arranging the service. The branch can discuss allowing time for an inspection and explain any repair work separately once the condition is known.
Your registration, the symptom, any warning light and recent brake work are useful. If the concern follows a test failure, bring the full NCT or CVRT report.
Choose your branch and tell us what you need. Vehicle details are optional if you don’t have them to hand.
